A Weekend With Grandmal

Wow...
What a weekend. Grandmal Mary came to visit us on Fri and stayed the weekend, the boys had a great time. Grandmal cooked and did laundry as she claims she loves to do and I told her she can come and get her laundry fix here anytime. Christian had a stomach virus and ran a fever for the weekend so he was not his bubbly self but now he is better as of last night. He and his partner in crime (Carson) were bouncing off the walls last night in such joy as to have each other to amuse once again. Carson after all week long of begging to go fishing caught his first fish (Snapper) by himself on Sat. He hooked his own shrimp on the line and manned his fishing pole just like his dad and boy was he proud of his cathch. Clayton got a bit of the virus on Sat afternoon but it didn't stick with him long. So the two healthy ones got to go to a birthday party on Sat afternoon at a gymnastic tumbling gym, had a lots of fun on the rings leaping from the rings into the foam pit and the two sick ones spent time with Grandmal and dad. It was great having grandmal Mary here what a big help she was!

Funny words of the week were...

"EC you are Slow poke Rodriguez" and EC replied with no thought or delay "Dad you are Slow poke General Grieviece"

In Carson's words...after asked at school what the children see while observing a nativity made from clay flower pots and garden materials everyone said what the saw and after a long period of silence Carson exclaimed "I see Baby Jesus!" Ms. Nancy asked "how do you know it's Baby Jesus?" Carson repield with a shrug of his shoulders and with a matter of fact confidence "Oh, I know him. He lives in my heart."

In Clayton's words...call me helicopter.

In Christian's words...mom, I'm all better I don't have the diahrea no more.

Newbie at Bloggin'

A friend has inspired me from her own postings/blog to do this, thanks LJ. Well the boys are off to school and Earl and I seem to be getting back energy from our trip to G-ville for Thanksgiving with Aunt Di, Uncle T and the cousins at the "farm". It was great to spend time with family and just let the boys run around in the country and explore. I think they enjoyed the fire we made the most and spending time with Jenna and Emily (2nd cousins) and then bugging Uncle T the next day to do it again....sorry Carson you'll understand college game day better when you get older . Carson enjoyed attaching himself to Aunt Holly and not letting her outta his sight. EC couldn't keep Andrew and Alex (2nd cousins) names straight. Christian had an poo accident because of a blue jean button malfuntction hat he just cloudn't manage to unbutton fast enough and Uncle T did great getting Christian cleaned up all at the same time he was in charge of five kids as we had been given the ok to leave and Aunt Di was to be home soon. But Uncle T survived as did the the kids. The boys did awesome in the car even without the DVD player as Carson decided a few weeks ago to put a penny in it and I have yet to get it fix. Earl and I did venture in to "town" from the farm to G-ville for tailgating on campus with his cousins for the UF vs FSU game as it was a beautiful day and we feasted on deep fried turkey, hamburgers, pig and fixins they were cooking. UMMM Delicious. We didn't try to get tickets as Earl enjoys watching the big games with Uncle T outside in the shed (or now as Carson calls it the "Gator House" and I enjoy watching Aunt Di keeping herself busy as she gets too anxious to watch the whole game and will ask me from the kitchen "what happened" and I try to explain to her where they are at on the field and what down it is. Hey i'm learning! But it's great the Gators put a pounding on the Noles! What a great weekend we had.
